Grace is carrying a secret from her past which is gnawing away at her. Her Mum, Gran, is concerned about her health, and her daughter Berni’s relationship comes under pressure when her boyfriend Steven loses his job and struggles to find alternative employment. As their worlds start to fall apart, no one seems to be listening to their prayers. Then they hear news that St Bernadette’s relics are touring the UK and are coming to Liverpool. Could a visit to pay homage to their favourite Saint help their cause? The play highlights the importance of families pulling together in times of need rather than relying on religious dogma and is laced with wry humour throughout.
